Tamberlie Ecklund is one of the movers and shakers in the Salem music scene, and has been for a very long time. She’s booked several venues around town since I’ve been paying attention again: Triangle, Duffy’s, Shotskis to name a few. She had just started a new job when a little stomach ache turned into a life threatening situation. She is slowly recovering from surgeries and still has some to go. Tamberlie is loved in this town. Folks in the scene mobilized and started a crowd fund to help her at https://www.youcaring.com/tamberlieecklund-1184893 and have set up this “Jams for Tams.” Everybody wants to play. This is the lineup so far: Chris Estes & Gobel S., Outer Banks, Cotton Foot, John Hall, The Folly, and Wicked Haven. And bands are still trying to come show the love. They’ll also be auctioning off some items to help with the cause, as well. Celeste Worrell said it best, “This woman has been our bartender, minister, friend and mama. She has loved and supported so many of us and now it’s her turn.” $5 for Tamberlie. Dig deep.
