Salem Famous Improv Comedy

Salem's longest running show is just getting more and more hilarious. Doors open at 7 - show starts at 7:30pm. Come laugh at local seasoned professional comedians as they present our flagship show that is driven by your suggestions! Think 'Whose Line Is It Anyway' but with comedians based in Salem. Tickets cost $10 online and $12 at the door for adults. All students, military, and seniors 65+ with ID pay only $9. Kids under 12 are $6.

Improv Comedy Class 101 • Drop-ins welcome!

Learn to improvise! We'll put the "da" in fundamentals. Capitol City Theater’s trained improvisers pass down years of stage-earned experience during improvisational-comedy workshops. Fears about performing in public evaporate during two-hour classes as pupils invent scenes and play games that require them to act without scripts or the telepathic connection to William Shakespeare’s ghost that guides most actors. Fresh from its World Premiere in Los Angeles in November, Willamette brings Kalean Ung's solo performance "Letters from Home" to our stage, as the first leg of its nationwide tour. Based on her family history in Cambodia, during the "killing fields" era of Khmer Rouge control in the late 1970s. Writer & actor Kalean Ung explores her relatives’ struggles and eventual rescue, while also describing her own experiences of growing up bi-racial and first generation in Southern California.
