Help beautify Minto Brown Island Park with Friends of Trees
March 24 @ 8:45 am - 1:00 pm
Join Friends of Trees and the City of Salem for the third of this year’s three planting events at the newly opened Minto Island Conservation Area. We will be planting native trees and shrubs along the new multi-use path connecting Riverfront Park with the greater Minto Brown Island Park. This event is partially funded with grants from Oregon Watershed Enhancement Board and Meyer Memorial Trust.
Volunteer parking will be at Riverfront City Park :: 200 Water St NE, Salem, OR 97301 (map), with a short walk across the newly opened bridge!
Please arrive around 8:45am to be registered and assigned to a crew. The event will start promptly at 9:00am. We provide breakfast snacks and hot chocolate/coffee, as well as gloves, tools and guidance. Please come dressed for the weather and wearing sturdy, closed-toe shoes and get ready to have fun!
Looking to volunteer as a group? RSVPs are kindly requested for groups of more than 5 people – click HERE to do so. RSVPs are not required for individuals or groups of 4 or fewer — you can simply show up!
