Raffles and prizes abound. The Talofa Store sells trinkets and clothing from the Pacific and it is fun to browse their selections. For the past nine years occurring on the afternoon of Saturday at Labor Day weekend in September the Paradise of Samoa hosts its Lu’au. This is a fundraiser open to the public for a suggested donation, and is this charity group’s one and only fundraiser. None of the dancers are ever asked to pay to dance and this event keeps them dancing!! The lu’au has been described as the best of its kind in the Northwest, and now has over 300 guests each year. Paradise of Samoa is a tax-exempt non-profit entity. All contributions are tax deductible. PayPal, debit, and credit card available.
