Those who know me, know I’m not a giant blues fan. But, I don’t let that influence what I pick on my page (ideally.) BUT, I am not picking Ellen Whyte just to be fair and balanced. I’m picking her because she is phenomenal and she does the blues right. She is such a monster talent and has such a spot-on voice; don’t just take my word for it – she’s an award winning blues performer including a couple considerations for Grammys. I’ve seen her a couple times and was truly captivated. She has such a commanding yet inviting stage presence – charismatic doesn’t even scratch the surface. I was truly moved. In fact, I introduced myself to her after the show (this was years ago) because I felt so compelled, a thing I rarely do. She just makes you feel great being in the same room with her. Oh, she plays fantastic guitar too. She can play solo or with a full band and leave you wanting more and more. Sincerely, this woman rocks and is for real. I promise you will not be disappointed. $3. Half Penny.
