Currents Gallery is welcoming the summer with the art of one of their founding members, Kathleen Buck. An award-winning artist, Buck creates stunning abstract paintings in watercolor, acrylic, and mixed media. Gestural forms of people and animals are her favored subjects, usually rendered to convey feeling and mood rather than literal realism. Her signature luminous bright colors and strong light and dark patterns, and use of a palette knife to build texture serve to unify the abstract and real elements in her work. June 14-July 11 Hours: 10am-5pm Mon-Sat; 10am-2pm. Sun. An opening reception is scheduled for June 18 from 5-8pm during McMinnville’s Art & Wine Walk. http://www.currentsgallery.com
