Sometimes you just want to find a place where you can hide away, have a drink, and spend a few minutes alone before it’s time to face the next crisis. The Scoreboard is a fun, small tavern, where not everyone knows your name when you walk in, but chances are they will by the time you are ready to leave.

The Scoreboard has a pool table, a helluva juke box and a bartender who will pour and mix with a smile. Owner Monica Boehmer took the business back into the family about a year ago and has been busy remodeling and sprucing up the tavern.

“We believe in a clean establishment, good atmosphere and fair prices,” Boehmer says. Expect a lunch special every day, usually something warm from the Crock-Pot in the fall and winter, according to Boehmer.

“It is a nice group of folks who come in here. We have the greatest customers. They are always bringing us treats and things,” she says. The tavern is just that – a place where drinks are king and the food is delicious bar food. They offer up the usual when it comes to bar food: chicken strips, hamburgers, and French fries.

“Our customers are welcoming to anyone who comes in,” Boehmer says. With a lunch special every day and lottery machines, it’s a good place to refresh and relax for a few minutes. Patio seating with a covered area accommodates smokers and those ready for a bit of fresh air, even in the Oregon rain.
